About Our Centers

The Center for Colorectal Health is a national chain of highly specialized, patient-centered facilities dedicated to colorectal health.

A division of CRH Medical Corporation, The Center for Colorectal Health is modeled after the renowned Cleator Clinic in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Run by colorectal expert Dr. Iain Cleator, the Cleator Clinic has performed more than 10,000 procedures using the CRH-O’Regan Disposable Hemorrhoid Banding System with exceptional results.

In September 2005, the first The Center for Colorectal Health opened in Chicago with the goal of bringing focused medical care for the treatment of hemorrhoids and anal fissures and the early treatment of colorectal cancer to major cities in the United States.  Additional centers are scheduled to open soon.

We believe there are four main advantages to the care we provide.

Specialists Who Understand

Because of the location of colorectal problems, many people hesitate to seek medical attention.  We understand this awkwardness.  Our goal is to immediately put patients at ease with our caring, professional staff and our extensive knowledge of colorectal health.

Diagnostic Excellence

Anal pain, itching and bleeding are symptoms of multiple conditions.  We’re experts at correctly diagnosing the problem, or in some cases, problems.  With hemorrhoids, anal fissures and colorectal cancer, it’s possible to have more than one condition at a time.

Single Use, Disposable Instrumentation

Other hemorrhoid removal procedures rely upon re-usable instrumentation, which, if not properly cleaned, can allow for the transfer of blood borne pathogens such as hepatitis B, C or HIV.  Our single use, disposable system eliminates the risk of cross-patient infection.

Gentler, Safer Technique

Our smaller, patented instruments afford greater comfort for patients and better visibility for physicians.  Instead of metal-toothed forceps, we use a plunger suction device to gently capture the hemorrhoid tissue, thus reducing the risk of pain and bleeding.
