Services Offered

Our practice is centered on the minimally invasive treatment of hemorrhoids.  Since patients may present with both hemorrhoids and anal fissures, the treatment for anal fissures is a natural adjunct to our services.  Following the resolution of these conditions, we offer colorectal cancer screenings to ensure that this life-threatening disease is not an underlying cause of bleeding.

Hemorrhoids

• Consultation, diagnosis and evaluation of treatment options via patient history, digital rectal exam and rigid sigmoidoscopy (100% disposable scope)
• In-office treatment of hemorrhoids with the CRH-O’Regan Disposable Hemorrhoid Banding System

Anal Fissures

• Consultation, diagnosis and evaluation of treatment options via patient history, visual examination and rigid sigmoidoscopy (100% disposable scope)
• Treatment of acute and chronic fissures with nitroglycerin ointment (various concentrations used) and supplemental care guidance

Colorectal Cancer

• Evaluation of whether patient meets American Cancer Society screening guidelines
• Annual screenings via a fecal occult blood test (FOBT), performed only after hemorrhoids and/or anal fissures have been treated and resolved
